KC Metropolis previews FuseBox

fusebox_membersOver the past year, Zane Winter, Ted King-Smith, and I have been working toward advocating for new music on our terms. The result isFuseBox New Music. FuseBox champions composers through providing commissions, performances, recordings, and collaborative opportunities. Since launching in 2015, we have commissioned five composers and earned support from the ArtsKC and the KC Municipal Arts Commission.

Our inaugural concert is coming up on October 1 & 4, 2015 at Prairie Logic in downtown KCMO. It is called The Debussy Project and will feature 4 world premieres written to be interspersed between movements of Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp. It starts at 7:30.

Nick Omiccioli has written a preview of the event in KC Metropolis. You can read it here: http://kcmetropolis.org/issue/september-23-2015/article/preview-fusebox-new-music
